About the Role
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Heavy Lift Sourcing Specialist to procure heavy lift transportation services for APMEA factories and sales units. The role involves managing RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, transport budgeting, and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities
- Procure day to day heavy lift transportation services for allotted factories and sales units within APMEA
- Execute heavy lift sourcing (RFI/RFP/RFQ) including scope of work preparation with operational details
- Prepare transport budgets for heavy lift including requirements analysis, frame agreement checks, and budget preparation or RFI/RFP launch
- Manage end to end RFP and RFQ for heavy lift: preparation, launch, bid collection, evaluation, scenarios, risk/opportunities calculation, awarding, contract finalization, SAP TM update
- Handle end to end heavy lift sourcing escalation process including evaluation, negotiation, documentation, and supplier non conformities
- Drive heavy lift transportation cost reduction, vendor compliance, and cost out initiatives
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with service providers/forwarders
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain management, heavy lift and project logistics or strategic sourcing with negotiation
- Strong negotiation skills and deep knowledge of transportation terms and conditions
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple time sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with heavy lift transport cost structures, terms, and conditions (Incoterms, surcharges, weight/volume conversion factors)
- Knowledge of international logistics
- Fluent high level English
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Good understanding of SAP
