Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within the designated pastry section according to kitchen standards
- Assist with the creation of menu items and daily specials
- Ensure consistency and quality across all food items
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the section
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
- Train and supervise Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on kitchen operations
- Ensure timely preparation and smooth flow during service hours
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and efficient service
Requirements
- Minimum 2 4 years of experience in an upscale 5 star hotel or resort kitchen environment
- Strong culinary knowledge and solid understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across the kitchen brigade
- Dynamic team player capable of delivering the highest standards of food quality and presentation
- Proficiency in English required; knowledge of an additional language highly regarded
