Responsibilities
- Maintain walls, ceilings, painted floor, wood work, and furniture of the hotel as per standards
- Inspect public areas regularly and keep surroundings presentable
- Use proper ladders and scaffolding to execute painting jobs
- Cover areas prior to work and display caution signs
- Ensure area is clean after job completion
- Fix cap on fire detectors during painting to avoid false alarms
- Assist Engineering Supervisor in ordering special paints and polishes and monitor stock
- Dispose paint tins and combustible materials safely
- Keep painting workshop clean, neat, and safe
- Attend departmental communication meetings as directed
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of various paints, oils and polishes
- Ability to use ladders and scaffolding safely
- Knowledge of fixing decorative ceramic tiles, wall plastering, concrete mixing and shuttering
- Trained in Emergency/Fire procedures

Job Description
- Maintain walls, ceilings, painted floor, wood work, and furniture of the hotel as per standards.
- Have thorough knowledge of various paints, oils and polishes.
- Inspect public areas regularly and keep surroundings presentable.
- Use proper size of ladders and scaffolding to execute the job.
- Cover the area prior to work and keep caution sign board around the areas.
- Ensure the area is clean after job completion.
- Fix cap on fire detectors during painting to avoid false alarms and remove after completion.
- Know the trade, capable of ordering items, and able to use various paint products.
- Assist Engineering Supervisor to order special paints and polishes and monitor stock.
- Dispose paint tins, drums, etc. which are combustible in a safe manner.
- Knowledge of fixing decorative ceramic tiles, wall plastering, concrete mixing and shuttering, fixing of road paving tiles, silicon and grouting work.
- Keep painting workshop clean, neat and safe to avoid fire incidents.
