Role Overview

Painting and Maintenance Duties

• Carry out painting and decorative work in guest rooms, villas, public areas, restaurants, corridors, offices, back-of-house areas, and external areas.
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling, paint removal, and primer application.
• Apply emulsion, enamel, textured, epoxy, waterproof, and other approved finishes.
• Perform touch-ups, corrective work, colour matching, and defect rectification.
• Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and fittings from paint splashes and damage.
• Maintain clean work areas and inspect surfaces for peeling, cracks, uneven coverage, stains, and colour mismatch.
• Support renovations, public-area upgrades, refurbishment projects, and preventive maintenance programs.

Safety and Coordination

• Follow Engineering work schedules, maintenance requests, and assigned work orders.
• Maintain and safely use painting tools, equipment, ladders, chemicals, and materials.
• Store paint and chemicals safely and follow manufacturer instructions.
• Follow HSE, fire safety, chemical handling, PPE, and resort safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other Engineering trades and report dampness, mould, leaks, or structural issues to the supervisor.
• Respect guest privacy and minimize disturbance while working in guest-facing areas.

Qualifications

• High school education or a relevant vocational or trade qualification is preferred.
• Two to three years of Painter experience is preferred, ideally in a five-star hotel, luxury resort, or similar hospitality environment.
• Hotel or resort maintenance and refurbishment experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE requirements and safe handling of paints and chemicals is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as operationally required.
• Physical fitness for rescue activities, extended standing, and outdoor duties in varying weather conditions.
• Teamwork, discipline, professionalism, hygiene, safety awareness, and guest-focused conduct are expected.
• Participation in training, emergency drills, and continuous skills development is expected.
