General Responsibilites

Department Specialized Responsibilities

Decision Making Authority

• Work is carried out within general policies, principles and goals, and is subject to direction only for guidance on policy issues.

Accountibility

• Accountable for day to day related assignments

Occupational Safety And Health Management

• Attending Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs as a mandatory requirement.
• Being compliant with all OSH policies & procedures and legal requirements regarding Occupational Safety and Health Management System.
• Conducting his/her task in a healthy and safe manner at all times.
• Reporting any untoward events that will impact the occupational, safety & health of patients, staff, contractors, facilities, and operations, etc. OHSMS procedures of which they have been informed, instructed and trained.
• Actively participate along with line management towards implementation of OHSMS requirements.
• Report to the respective manager any potentially hazard, unsafe act or condition, which may cause OSH impacts.
• Report all OSH hazard, near miss and incidents to the respective line manager.

Infection Control

• All employees are personally accountable for their actions and are responsible for ensuring that they comply with infection prevention and control policies.
• Health care workers are responsible for identifying infectious conditions that require specific controls to protect themselves and their patients. In addition, they are responsible for notifying the infection prevention.

General Responsibilites

• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives as required
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Head of Department within the scope of the role
• Exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, records, and reports
• Actively participate in the Medical Center’s Patient Safety and Quality Improvement programs
• Attend and contribute to ongoing in-service training programs
• Act as a translator when required
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

Department Specialized Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the HAAD OSH Centre
• Investigate and record incidents, accidents, complaints, and cases of ill health
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections
• Ensure equipment is installed and operated correctly and safely
• Identify potential workplace hazards
• Determine and implement measures to reduce risks
• Develop and draft internal health and safety policies and strategies
• Compile and analyze health and safety statistics
• Deliver presentations to employees and management
• Organize and conduct health and safety meetings and training sessions
• Liaise with relevant regulatory and government authorities
• Stay up to date with current health and safety legislation and ensure organizational compliance

• Diploma in Health and Safety (All Certifications related to OSH)
• At least 7 years-experience in Medical Centre or similar organization
