- Perform refraction, fitting, and prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Conduct cyclo refraction for pediatric patients
- Perform LASIK and keratoconus screening
- Perform visual field tests, driver's license tests, and color vision tests
- Perform biometry/A scan or IOL calculation
- Perform topography and pachymetry
- Assist ophthalmologists with B scan/ultrasound and excimer laser procedures
- Implement policies and procedures to achieve hospital goals
- Participate in patient and family education
Requirements
- Degree in Optometry or related field
- Experience in optometry practice
- Clinical skills in refraction, contact lenses, and diagnostic procedures

Overview
- Care of patients attending the Ophthalmology Surgery Outpatient Clinics under guidance and supervision of Head of Department, Consultant or Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Performs refraction, fitting and prescribes eyeglasses and/or soft and hard contact lenses
- Performs Cyclo Refraction for pediatric patients
- Performs LASIK and keratoconus screening
- Performs Visual Field test; driver's license test and color vision test
- Performs Biometry / A Scan or IOL calculation on patients
- Responsible for performing Topography and Pachymetry
- Assists the ophthalmologists for B Scan and/or Ultrasound
- Assists the ophthalmologists by operating the Excimer Laser for LASIK, TRANS PRK or PTK procedures
- Implements appropriate policies and procedures to achieve the hospital's goals and objectives
- Participate in patient and family education
- Performs any other duties within range of professional knowledge and skills as directed by Head of Department
