Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and patient-focused Optometrist to join our team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision testing, diagnosis of visual problems, and prescribing corrective lenses.
The role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
- Diagnose visual defects and eye abnormalities
- Prescribe corrective lenses such as glasses and contact lenses
- Detect signs of ocular diseases and refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye procedures
- Educate patients on proper eye care, hygiene, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and clinical standards
- Handle and operate optometric equipment effectively
- Assist in optical sales and guide patients in selecting appropriate eyewear
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry (B.Optom or equivalent)
- Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter (mandatory for Dubai)
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in optometry or eye care clinics
- Strong knowledge of eye examination techniques and optical instruments
- Good understanding of contact lens fitting and management

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Customer service and patient care orientation
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Sales and upselling skills (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in UAE healthcare settings
- Knowledge of advanced diagnostic equipment
- Multilingual communication skills
