Role Purpose
- Jobholders at this level are shift based and responsible for the wrapping machine. They must closely monitor system performance and, under supervision, recalibrate and reset system parameters to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Basic problem solving techniques are applied to troubleshoot the wr
Key Accountabilities
- Exercises operational responsibility for a wrapping machine unit according to SOPs and safety procedures to ensure continuous and efficient operations.
- Monitors performance and, under the combiner supervisor’s direction, adjusts calibrations to ensure synchronization, efficiency, and minimal downtime.
- Handles routine defects from previous units and current process by recalibrating settings to reduce downtime and losses; escalates major issues.
- Operates wrapping software, ensures accurate data entry per production order, and prints shift end reports.
- Reports availability of wrapping films to supervisor to avoid production interruption.
- Reports malfunctions and performs minor maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment life.
- Keeps work area clean and ensures compliance with all HSE standards.
- Maintains company image through proper uniform and personal hygiene.
- Applies visual inspection based on acceptance rejection principles to isolate non conforming products for QC review.
