Operations Manager – NDT & Inspection Services

Role Overview

Operations and Project Delivery

• Lead daily NDT and inspection operations for safe, efficient, and timely project execution.
• Optimize manpower, technicians, equipment, and resources.
• Deliver projects according to procedures, specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Monitor schedules, performance, costs, profitability, reports, and technical documentation.

Technical and NDT Leadership

• Provide technical leadership for NDT Level III activities and requirements.
• Develop, review, and coordinate project-specific NDT procedures and techniques.
• Apply RT, UT, MT, PT, PAUT, and other conventional or advanced NDT techniques.
• Ensure personnel qualification, certification, competency assessments, and technical readiness.

People, Resources, and QHSE

• Lead field teams and coordinate manpower utilization, productivity, and operational readiness.
• Manage subcontractor technical assessments, approvals, and compliance before deployment.
• Work with QHSE teams to maintain safety and quality standards.
• Identify risks, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Client and Business Development

• Build relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Lead technical and operational discussions and provide solutions to customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities to expand NDT and inspection services.
• Support proposals, technical presentations, client meetings, and commercial activities.

Required Experience and Credentials

• 10+ years of relevant experience in NDT, inspection, or technical services, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• ASNT or PCN NDT Level III certification.
• Strong knowledge of RT, UT, MT, PT, and PAUT.
• Experience in onshore, offshore, and/or marine environments.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience managing NDT operations, field teams, projects, and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of NDT procedures, applicable codes, standards, certification, and competency requirements.
• Experience with manpower planning, resource optimization, subcontractors, and cost control.
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• BOSIET certification and offshore medical fitness are advantageous.

• Strong leadership, communication, client-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to support business-development opportunities.
