About the Role

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote safe working practices
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Conduct routine inspections and perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities
- Respond promptly to system faults, alarms, and operational warnings
- Monitor and manage maintenance activities through CMMS (DOS Maximo)
- Coordinate and manage system related issues with maintenance team, management, and customer representatives
- Develop and maintain work schedules to ensure delivery of contractual requirements
- Support O&M Manager in daily operations and assume managerial responsibilities during their absence
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and consumables
- Coach, mentor, and train junior or less experienced team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience in an industrial environment
- Hands on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems (PLC and PC based systems)
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading or supervising technical teams
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Airport Identification Badge

Job Summary
- Vanderlande is responsible for the operation, service, and maintenance of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) across multiple airports.
- The O&M Shift Leader will serve as the primary responder to operational and technical incidents, leading a maintenance team in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- The role ensures system availability, reliability, and compliance with contractual service requirements while maintaining safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote safe working practices.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of all system equipment and components.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance plans.
- Respond promptly to system faults, alarms, and operational warnings.
- Communicate maintenance activities, system status, and technical findings to stakeholders.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Monitor and manage maintenance activities through CMMS (DOS Maximo).
- Respond to requests from Control Room, Operations Teams, and management.
- Execute monthly corrective and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate and manage system related issues with team, management, and customers.
- Develop and maintain work schedules for contractual requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience in an industrial environment.
- Hands on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems (PLC and PC based systems).
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading or supervising technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Material Handling Systems (MHS) and/or Baggage Handling Systems (BHS).
- Minimum 2 years of hands on experience using CMMS, preferably DOS Maximo.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with PLC and SCADA systems.
