About the Role
Air Arabia is seeking a Network Planning Support Officer in Sharjah to support the network planning team with system updates, reporting, and coordination of airport slots. The role requires 2+ years of experience in a similar analytical role within aviation and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
- Apply and negotiate slots for additional and ad hoc extra flights at L2 and L3 airports
- Obtain timely approvals from Airports and Civil Aviation Authorities on schedules and extra flights
- Maintain up to date database of airports/airlines codes based on IATA manual
- Create and update timetable for all Air Arabia hubs and communicate with INNOVATA and OAG
- Initiate/publish buses codes and schedules through Accelaero and Lufthansa/Net line
- Implement schedule changes, load extra flights and cancellations in system
- Generate Weekly Utilization Reports
- Coordinate with Revenue Management on cancellations, extra or addition of flights
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Commerce or equivalent
- 2+ years of working experience in a similar role or analytical role within commercial division in aviation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel Skills)
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
- IATA Certified in Network Fleet and Schedule Planning is a plus

Job Purpose
- Supports the network planning team with system updates and reporting related activities ensuring effectiveness is in line with the set measures and company’s adopted policies and procedures.
- Also, to coordinate airport slots and facilitate planning for ad hoc & charter flights requests with a key objective of optimum aircraft usage on profitable routes.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Apply and negotiates slots for all additional & ad hoc extra for (L2) and (L3) airports.
- Obtains timely approvals from Airports and Civil Aviation Authorities on all schedules and extra flights.
- Maintains an up to date database of airports/airlines codes based on IATA manual.
- Creates and regularly updates the timetable for all Air Arabia hubs.
- Initiates/publishes the buses codes and schedules through adopted channels.
- Implement schedule changes, loading extra flights and cancellation in system.
- Generates Weekly Utilization Reports.
- Coordinates with Revenue Management on any cancellations, extra or addition of flights.
- Co ordinates and assists dispatch to manage flight schedule disruptions.
- Works closely with Engineering Planning / maintenance teams to finalize scheduling of aircraft for maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Planning, Computer), Business Management, Commerce or equivalent.
- 2+ years of working experience in a similar role or in an analytical role within the commercial division in the aviation industry.
- IATA Certified in Network Fleet and Schedule Planning is a plus.
- Capable of using technology systems and tools; proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel Skills).
- Fluent in English Language, Arabic is a plus.
