Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network and security infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Handle escalated incidents from L1 support and collaborate closely with L3 engineers for complex issues
- Monitor network performance, ensure high availability, and proactively identify potential issues
- Perform network optimization activities and implement performance and reliability improvements
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation actions
- Implement and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures
- Utilize monitoring tools such as PRTG and SolarWinds to ensure system health and uptime
- Prepare and maintain High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documentation
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure secure and efficient operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in network and security engineering
- Mandatory certifications: CCNA and Fortinet NSE 4
- Hands on experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco technologies
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, proxies, WAN optimization, and load balancing
- Proven experience in troubleshooting complex network and security issues
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and incident management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
