Role overview

Lead the growth of People Corporation's National Indigenous Solutions Practice across Canada.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, focused on strategic partnerships and national sales growth.

Business development

  • Originate strategic partnerships, client opportunities, and growth possibilities.
  • Build sales pipelines through prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
  • Complete or facilitate RFPs for private and public sector opportunities.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for third-party broker relationships.

Sales leadership

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop sales team members.
  • Oversee the success of a team of four to six Business Development Consultants.
  • Set sales goals, targets, budgets, and annual business development plans.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for benefits, retirement, wellness, HR services, and related products.

Strategy and execution

  • Develop sector- and geography-aligned sales strategies.
  • Create growth strategies for new and emerging channels.
  • Develop pricing strategies and track competitive market costs.
  • Coordinate proposals and finalist presentations with internal experts and leadership.

People and performance

  • Monitor pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, sales performance data, and KPIs.
  • Lead coaching and performance management for sales team members.
  • Collaborate with service, finance, and leadership teams on client transitions and reporting.
  • Promote a respectful workplace aligned with company values.

Required qualifications

  • Active LLQP license, or an LLQP license lapsed within the previous 90 days.
  • Five to ten years of proven sales experience with success leading or mentoring sales teams.
  • Strong command of the full sales cycle.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Preferred experience

  • Experience in the medium to large Indigenous market and/or public sector benefits space.
  • Group Benefits and Group Retirement Services experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations is valued.

Compensation

  • Base salary is $120,000 to $150,000 annually.
  • The stated base salary excludes variable compensation such as annual bonus and commission.
