The Role
Nord Anglia Education is recruiting an experienced MYP Coordinator for Etqan Global Academy, an IB World School in Doha, Qatar.
The coordinator will lead implementation and ongoing development of the IB Middle Years Programme, ensuring programme integrity, teacher excellence, and high standards of student learning.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead MYP planning, implementation, and review in line with IB standards and practices.
- Manage IB authorisation, evaluation, and self-study processes and liaise with the IB organisation.
- Coach and develop MYP teachers in programme delivery, unit design, and assessment.
- Oversee the Personal Project, service as action, and ATL skill development.
- Lead assessment moderation and standardisation across subject groups.
- Coordinate eAssessment preparation, external moderation submissions, and MYP-focused staff CPD.
- Communicate MYP expectations, progress, and outcomes to parents and the school community.
Successful Candidate
- Recognised teaching qualification and classroom teaching experience in an IB MYP school.
- IB MYP workshop training at Category 1 or Category 2 level.
- In-depth knowledge of MYP curriculum, assessment criteria, eAssessment, and the Personal Project.
- Understanding of IB programme standards, practices, and authorisation requirements.
- IB coordinator or curriculum leadership experience is desirable.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and coaching skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- International school experience, ideally in the Middle East, is desirable.
