Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile cranes safely to lift and move construction materials, equipment, and structural components.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the crane, lifting equipment, and safety systems.
- Set up cranes with correct outriggers, positioning, and ground-condition checks.
- Follow approved lifting plans, load charts, and safe working load limits.
- Coordinate with riggers, signalmen, and site supervisors during lifting operations.
- Inspect lifting accessories and secure loads before lifting.
- Maintain safe clearances from structures, personnel, power lines, and other hazards.
- Report defects, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately.
- Maintain daily crane inspection and operation records.
- Follow company HSE procedures and applicable construction-site regulations.
Requirements
- Valid mobile crane operator license or certification applicable to the project location.
- 3–5 years of mobile crane operating experience, preferably in construction.
- Experience operating different capacities or types of mobile cranes.
- Knowledge of crane load charts, lifting plans, and safe lifting procedures.
- Knowledge of rigging and signaling practices.
- Physical fitness for outdoor construction environments.
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills.
- UAE or GCC construction experience is an advantage.
