Role Overview
An AC Technician installs, maintains, and repairs cooling systems.
The systems include split units, package units, and chillers for commercial, residential, or industrial properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Install air conditioning units, refrigerant lines, and control panels according to design and safety specifications.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance checks to maximize cooling efficiency and prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Replace faulty parts and repair leaks.
- Handle refrigerant recovery and gas charging.
- Inspect air handling units, fan coil units, and chillers.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of maintenance and repairs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Technical Diploma, ITI, or certificate in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical/electrical trades.
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in residential, hospitality, or commercial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of safe refrigerant handling.
- Ability to read technical wiring diagrams and schematics.
