Role Overview
China State Construction Middle East is recruiting Senior Technical Engineers in MEP for its MEP team on a large-scale project in Dubai.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review MEP design drawings, specifications and IFC documents.
- Coordinate MEP shop drawings and ensure timely submission and approvals.
- Verify material submittals against project requirements and technical specifications.
- Ensure site activities comply with project requirements and guide site supervisors and subcontractors.
- Monitor HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, electrical, ELV and BMS installation works.
- Conduct site inspections for compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.
- Resolve technical issues and respond to RFIs with consultants and design teams.
- Coordinate MEP works with structural, architectural and civil teams to avoid clashes.
- Participate in meetings with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
- Prepare technical reports, method statements and installation checklists.
- Maintain logs for shop drawings, submittals, RFIs and technical queries.
- Support as-built drawings and O&M manuals, and coordinate QA/QC and HSE compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 15 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in five-star hotels, luxury hospitality or similarly complex projects.
