Role Overview

Whizz HR is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer for construction projects.

The role requires strong MEP contracting and site execution experience.

The engineer will support project delivery within quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

Job Type and Location

  • The position is full-time and on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise MEP works from installation through commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, specifications, material submittals, and technical documents.
  • Supervise site installation and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor progress, manpower, materials, and subcontractor activities.
  • Conduct inspections, maintain quality standards, and resolve issues with other disciplines.
  • Manage testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover of MEP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE standards, project requirements, and HSE regulations.
  • Prepare progress, inspection, and technical reports.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate inspections, approvals, and clarifications.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required.
  • Applicants need 5–8 years of MEP contracting experience.
  • Strong MEP contracting, site execution, and project delivery experience is mandatory.
  • Building and construction project experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and other MEP systems is required.
  • AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency is required; Revit knowledge is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of UAE construction standards, codes, and HSE requirements is required.
  • Leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Infrastructure, consulting, or facility-management experience will not be considered.
