The MEP Engineer will support the planning, coordination, review, and optimization of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
The role supports building, property, facilities, infrastructure, construction, and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
The position is described as part-time and fully remote.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate MEP engineering activities across assigned projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate MEP requirements with architectural, structural, civil, and other disciplines.
- Monitor progress, deliverables, quality standards, and engineering requirements.
- Identify design conflicts, technical issues, and coordination risks.
- Review contractor and supplier submissions for technical alignment.
- Support equipment selection, system optimization, energy-efficiency initiatives, and technical evaluations.
- Maintain engineering records, reports, meeting notes, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Recommend improvements to system reliability, efficiency, safety, and project outcomes.
Requirements
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant MEP, building services, construction, facilities, or infrastructure experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building-services systems is required.
- Knowledge of design principles, technical documentation, project coordination, and quality requirements is required.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and digital design or project-management tools is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and organizational abilities are required.
- Ability to work independently with remote and on-site project teams is required.
