Key Responsibilities
- Conduct or coordinate building inspections and property condition assessments.
- Review structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building conditions.
- Identify defects, deterioration, maintenance concerns, and potential safety risks.
- Review inspection findings, photographs, drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
- Prepare inspection reports with observations, recommendations, and priority actions.
- Monitor corrective actions and coordinate follow-up with contractors or property teams.
- Support compliance reviews against building standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, facilities teams, property managers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, schedules, findings, and documentation.
- Recommend maintenance, repair, and improvement measures based on inspection findings.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, Construction, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction practices, materials, defects, and maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of building safety, quality standards, inspection procedures, and regulatory principles.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, inspection reports, documentation systems, and digital collaboration tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify defects and assess their impact on safety, quality, and building performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage inspection priorities.
- Ability to work independently with remote and on-site property and engineering teams.
