MEP Construction Manager - Plumbing

Role Purpose

Construction Management

• Lead engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors across all project phases.
• Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications, and method statements for constructability and accuracy.
• Plan MEP activities with civil and architectural disciplines.
• Monitor site progress, manage resources, and ensure timely completion.
• Identify risks and delays and implement corrective actions for progress, quality, and cost control.

Technical and Delivery Duties

• Ensure installations comply with local regulations, project requirements, and international standards.
• Manage procurement of MEP materials and equipment with the procurement team.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Participate in meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and senior management.
• Ensure QA/QC and HSE procedures are implemented across site activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP construction.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role on large-scale projects.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with successful project delivery experience.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Knowledge and Tools

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, power distribution, lighting, and low-current systems.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, NEC, and IEC standards.
• Proficiency in Primavera and MS Project for project planning and management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is preferred.
• PMP certification or an equivalent professional credential is advantageous.

Work Setting

• The role manages construction activities on-site and coordinates delivery across project phases.
