Role Purpose

Implement HSE management systems at the project site.

Ensure compliance with local, legal, international, contract, and project HSE requirements.

Site HSE Compliance

  • Communicate HSE rules and policies clearly to employees.
  • Conduct daily inspections and monitor high-risk activities.
  • Ensure risk assessments and permit-to-work systems are implemented and followed.
  • Report violations and liaise with subcontractor HSE officers and engineers.

Environmental and Site Controls

  • Guide workers and subcontractors on waste segregation, reuse, and recycling.
  • Implement and maintain the scaffold tag system.
  • Inspect fire equipment, plant, and equipment and record their condition.
  • Support safe access, housekeeping, and safety signage.

Training and Workforce Engagement

  • Conduct and record HSE engagements with the workforce in the online system.
  • Conduct project HSE inductions and monthly HSE training for workers and subcontractors.
  • Enforce PPE use and ensure equipment is maintained in good condition.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Requires 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with established GCC contracting companies.
  • Requires a NEBOSH certificate.
  • Requires a diploma or degree when specified by the client or zoning authority.
  • Requires knowledge of OHS&E standards, operational hazards and controls, and international HSE standards.
  • Requires hands-on experience implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Requires availability to work outdoors and in site conditions, including shifts in manual or workshop environments.
  • Requires the ability to work independently, influence employees, accept direction, and intervene when necessary.
