Responsibilities
- Interpret and transcribe dictation into medical reports and correspondence regarding patients' assessment, work up, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnoses, prognosis, etc.
- Operate and utilize designated word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment
- Meet the required efficiency set by the doctors/department
- Provide quality transcription by using proper resources and proofreading own work
- Ensure confidentiality of the contents of the reports transcribed
- Upload reports and documents into Hospital Information System
- Participate in educational programs, in service meetings, and trainings as directed
- Participate in Quality Improvement programs as required
Requirements
- Diploma or Graduate in any discipline
- Minimum 2 years experience as Medical Transcriptionist
- Ability to transcribe medical/audio files with 100% quality
- Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Administrative skills: attention to details, good telephone etiquette, team player, stress management, time management

Job Overview
- Interpret and transcribe the dictation into a variety of medical reports and correspondence regarding patients’ assessment, work up, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnoses, prognosis, etc. in order to document and facilitate delivery of healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and transcribe dictation into medical reports and correspondence.

Qualifications

- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and in a team within a complex clinical setting.
- Administrative Skills: Attention to details, Good telephone etiquettes, Team player, Stress management and Time management skill.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes.
Working Conditions
- General office environment. Quiet surroundings. Adequate lighting.
- Primarily sedentary work, with continuous use of earphones, keyboard, foot control, and where applicable, video display terminal.
