Responsibilities
- Lead the BBU Medical Affairs team across CVRM and R&I therapy areas in the Gulf cluster
- Develop and execute integrated CVRM and R&I Medical Affairs Plans
- Identify and activate scalable healthcare practice shaping initiatives
- Drive operational effectiveness and efficiencies of the medical affairs teams
- Manage and coach CVRM and R&I medical teams for performance
- Ensure compliance with AZ Code of Ethics and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Gulf healthcare systems, priorities, and challenges across CVRM and R&I disease areas
- Experience leading a high performing medical affairs team
- Ability to set integrated medical strategy and deliver plans with maximum impact
- Knowledge of global and Gulf healthcare ecosystem
- Experience in managing change initiatives and collaborating cross functionally

Typical Accountabilities
- Accountable for setting integrated CVRM and R&I Medical Affairs strategy for the Gulf cluster.
- Translates scientific, evidence generation and stakeholder needs into a single prioritized plan.
- Leads BBU Medical Affairs as part of the cluster's senior leadership team.
- Manages and coaches CVRM and R&I medical teams.
- Drives performance with impact focused goals and measurable outcomes.
- Ensures scalable strategic solutions to Transforming Care.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Gulf healthcare systems and priorities.
- Experience in medical affairs leadership.
- Knowledge of CVRM and R&I therapy areas.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills.
External Engagements
- Knowledgeable of global and Gulf healthcare ecosystem.
- Drives Scientific Leadership across cardiovascular, renal, metabolic, respiratory and immunology care.
- Establishes collaborative engagements with Key Opinion Leaders.
Medical Evidence Generation Oversight
- Ensure building of high quality Gulf Medical Evidence Plans.
- Ensure meeting local and above market RWE study program KPIs.
- Ensure high quality medical insights provided to area/regional Evidence Generation strategies.
- Ensure GCP Quality and compliance.
Medical Excellence and Governance Oversight
- Ensure Nominated Signatory, Medical Information, Ethical Interactions policies are implemented.
- Ensure regular review of Field Medical Quarterly Dashboard and MSL Capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with AZ Code of Ethics and Corporate Governance.
