Responsibilities
- Execute the Medical Affairs Plan in alignment with TA Medical Lead and cross functional teams.
- Deliver scientific exchange with HCPs and decision makers to support appropriate use of rare disease medicines.
- Drive implementation of disease education, diagnostic initiatives, and patient identification projects.
- Build peer to peer relationships with Key External Experts, academic partners, and referral centers.
- Organize, lead, and present in scientific meetings, advisory boards, and symposia.
- Support planning and operationalization of local studies, registries, and Investigator Initiated Studies.
- Partner with Market Access, Commercial, and Regulatory teams to ensure scientific integrity.
- Deliver medical training and scientific support to internal colleagues.
Requirements
- Strong therapeutic knowledge in rare diseases, preferably hematology
- Scientific acumen and ability to connect field insights to strategy
- Experience in field medical roles within pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to build peer to peer relationships with Key External Experts
- Compliance with ethical standards and regulatory frameworks

Role Summary

What you'll do
- Field Medical Excellence: Execute Medical Affairs Plan; deliver scientific exchange with HCPs; drive disease education and diagnostic initiatives.
- Scientific Engagement: Build peer to peer relationships with KEEs; organize and present in scientific meetings; contribute to speaker training.
- Evidence Generation: Support local studies, registries, and IISs; contribute to development of scientific materials.
- Cross Functional Support: Partner with Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory; provide field based medical input; deliver medical training.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with AstraZeneca ethical standards, SOPs, and local regulatory frameworks.
