Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes/standards
- Conduct inspections for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems
- Review material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, test reports, and site observations
- Verify that mechanical installations meet safety and quality requirements
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities of mechanical systems
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with project QA/QC procedures
- Report non conformances and follow up on corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting
- Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and regulations
- Good understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection methodologies
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

About the Role
- We are currently seeking a detail oriented and motivated Mechanical Inspector with prior experience in the engineering industry—preferably within contracting or consulting—to join our project team.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical systems, a keen eye for detail, and familiarity with inspection processes across engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes/standards.
- Conduct inspections for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
- Review material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests to ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, test reports, and site observations.
- Verify that mechanical installations meet safety and quality requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities of mechanical systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with project quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
- Report non conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
- Perform other project related tasks as assigned by the Project/Construction Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector, preferably within an engineering consultancy or contracting company.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting.
- Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and regulations.
- Good understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to use relevant engineering tools/software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections in a fast paced environment.
