Morgan Consulting Engineers seeks a highly skilled Site Mechanical Engineer with 10-12 years of experience to oversee on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems for high-profile construction projects in Abu Dhabi.

- Supervise installation of mechanical systems on site including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection
- Ensure all mechanical works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant codes
- Perform site inspections to ensure mechanical installations meet quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to address technical issues
- Review and approve subcontractor shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
- Monitor and control site progress to ensure timely completion of mechanical installations
- Provide technical support during site meetings
- Ensure all mechanical installations are tested, commissioned, and fully operational before handover
- Prepare daily and weekly reports regarding mechanical site activities, progress, and issues
- Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with local codes, permits, and regulations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout installation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10 to 12 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
- Strong knowledge of healthcare specific mechanical systems (HVAC, medical gas, fire protection, plumbing)
- Experience supervising mechanical installations and ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local regulations
- Proficient in reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Familiarity with mechanical system testing, commissioning, and handover processes
- Ability to manage site activities and coordinate with multiple disciplines
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in construction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Membership in a professional engineering organization (e.g., ASHRAE, IMechE) preferred
- Experience working under FIDIC or other standard contract forms is a plus
