Role Description
The Mechanical Engineer will oversee mechanical aspects of building projects and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the United Arab Emirates.
Core Responsibilities
- Review mechanical drawings and coordinate with architects and other engineers.
- Supervise installation of mechanical equipment and systems and resolve technical issues on site.
- Prepare technical documentation and support procurement of mechanical materials and equipment.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Contribute to project planning, cost control, and continuous improvement of mechanical solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in building and construction projects.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Proficiency in machine design and selection of mechanical components for structural and building applications.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools for mechanical drawings.
- Demonstrated project management skills in construction environments.
- Exposure to R&D activities evaluating mechanical systems, materials, or technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of UAE or GCC building codes, safety standards, and mechanical installation practices.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with site personnel and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and readiness to work in demanding on-site conditions.
- Previous government or institutional construction experience is an advantage.
- Candidates should be currently based in the UAE and hold a driving license.
