About the Role
NH Collection Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Mechanic for Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara. The role involves maintaining marine and land vehicles, performing repairs, and supervising maintenance programs.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update marine vehicles record system of the resort
- Supervise all repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment in water based vehicles
- Attend to repair and maintenance of land based vehicles such as golf carts and buggies when requested
- Record all service & repair done for boats, vehicles and equipment and keep log of spare parts used
- Attend to repair and maintenance of power house generators if requested
- Carry out Preventive Maintenance program
- Carry out electric arc welding and oxy acetylene welding if capable and needed
- Carry out minor fabrication work and metal work when required
- Advise improvements to the present system to optimize operating efficiency and economy
- Ensure implementation of Anantara policies, standards and procedures in relation to Engineering
- Assist in daily scheduling & weekly forecasting of all marine maintenance work
- Participate in conducting Fire Prevention Training Programs
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the same field
- Good English communication skills
- Good technical skills

Overview
- Minor Hotels is an international hotel owner, operator and investor with a diverse portfolio of over 530 properties.
- The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining marine and land vehicles and supervising repairs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and updates marine vehicles record system of the resort.
- Supervises all repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment in a water base vehicle, such as speedboat, dive boats, barge, whalers, rowing boat, pontoon boats, dhonis, etc.
- Attends to repair and maintenance of land based vehicle, such as golf cart, buggy, etc. when requested.
- Records all service & repair done for boats, vehicles and equipment & keeps log of spare parts used.
- Attends to repair and maintenance of power house generators if requested.
- Attends to machinery maintenance requests when instructed to do so.
- Carry out Preventive Maintenance program.
- Carry out electric arc welding and oxy acetylene welding if capable & is needed.
- Carry out minor fabrication work and metal work when required.
- Advices improvements to the present system in order to optimize the operating efficiency and economy.
- Ensure execution of Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Ensures implementation of Anantara policies, standards and procedures in relation to Engineering.
Qualifications
- Preferrably male.
- With 2 to 5 years of experience in the same field.
- With good English communication skills.
- With good technical skills.
- With pleasing personality.
- Ability to handle pressure at work.
- Ability to multi task.
