About the Role
Air Arabia is seeking an MCC Engineer to act as the focal point for all maintenance activities across UAE hubs and outstations on a 24/7 basis. The role ensures timely availability and continued airworthiness of the fleet, providing technical guidance and support to maintenance staff and flight crew.

Responsibilities
- Assist in identification, assessment, reporting and monitoring of technical defects on the Air Arabia fleet, ensuring AMP tasks are carried timely and efficiently
- Support Engineering Planning and Development, STP, and QA teams in executing long term/short term planning and monitoring fleet maintenance operations
- Prioritize and manage allocation of work packages amongst corresponding teams, following up on timeliness and efficiency
- Act proactively to take corrective preventive measures to avoid problems or defects threatening airworthiness and delaying operations
- Provide technical guidance to Line, Base, Outstations’ maintenance staff and MROs on 24/7 basis, ensuring conformity with regulations and quality standards
- Deliver optimum technical support and guidance to pilots and cabin crew whilst on flight or on ground
- Ensure prompt and accurate recording and documenting of maintenance tasks performed, including Radio Communication on logbook
- Assist MCC Manager and stakeholders in monitoring daily flights technical performance, records, data and incidents
- Provide reports on trends of technical performance and recommend corrective measures to ensure no re occurrence
- Support Manager Training and Standards in MCC Team’s needed technical training, ensuring staff compliance with licensing regulatory requirements
- Handle emergency cases across the entire network and recommend solutions utilizing available resources
- Maintain effective communication with service providers, suppliers and MROs, generate periodic reports on performance
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical or equivalent; alternately a diploma in related field combined with needed experience
- Holds/has held corresponding type rating maintenance releasing license
- 8+ years’ experience in engineering maintenance in the Aviation industry, 3 years of which in Maintenance Control Center in a similar capacity, with at least 2 years leading a team
- Direct working experience with Civil Aviation Authorities, preferably GCAA
- Fluent in English Language
- Capable of using technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret, assimilate data and express ideas and concepts clearly
- Proven skills in analyzing data, identifying pitfalls and recommending cost effective solutions

Job Purpose
- The successful candidate will act as the focal point for all maintenance activities across UAE hubs and outstations on a 24/7 basis.
- The role ensures timely availability and continued airworthiness of the Air Arabia fleet and third party aircraft in line with business requirements.
- All activities must be carried out in full compliance with GCAA/CAA regulations and Air Arabia policies.
Key Result Responsibilities

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical or equivalent.
- Holds/has held corresponding type rating maintenance releasing license.
- Holder/has held Maintenance Engineer’s member license type AME from an ICAO state is an advantage.
- Professional membership of associations related to Aviation/Airlines industry is a plus.
- Capable of using technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English Language.
Work Experience
- 8+ years’ experience in engineering maintenance in the Aviation industry, 3 years of which in Maintenance Control Center in a similar capacity, with at least 2 years leading a team.
- Has direct working experience with Civil Aviation Authorities, preferably GCAA.
- Knowledge and exposure on airline and Flight Operations formalities and standard regulations.
- Exposure to Quality Assurance/Safety/Internal & External Audit functional operations.
- A balanced personality, composed, capable of dealing with emergencies.
- Experienced in implementing maintenance policies, procedures and operating manuals.
- High accuracy and attention to both results and details.
- Ability to interpret, assimilate data and express ideas and concepts clearly.
- Proven skills in analyzing data, identifying pitfalls and recommending cost effective solutions.
