About the Role
Anantara at Banana Island Resort Doha is seeking a Marine Electrical Engineer to maintain and repair marine electrical systems on vessels. The role requires 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, sea-going experience preferred, and a Qatar driving license.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all marine electrical systems onboard vessels
- Maintain and service generators, switchboards, batteries, shore power systems, navigation lights, control panels, and related equipment
- Ensure proper execution of Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) for all electrical systems
- Inspect, test, and maintain all shore power supply pedestals
- Prepare Scope of Work for electrical section prior to dry dock and for normal operations
- Supervise and verify all electrical work during dry dock and ensure compliance with specifications
- Conduct final inspections and confirm completion of electrical works before vessel re commissioning
- Ensure timely requisition of electrical spare parts and materials
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and maintenance records
- Monitor and respond to message box complaints related to marine electrical issues
- Be on standby for marine electrical emergencies 24/7 and respond promptly
- Attend and represent Marine Engineering department during inspections by authorities
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar capacity (sea going experience highly preferred)
- Market knowledge of engine products
- Able to write detailed reports
- Computer literate
- Good command of English language skills
- Qatar driving license

- Prepare the Scope of Work (SOW) for the electrical section of each vessel prior to dry dock, as well as for normal operations.
- Supervise and verify all electrical work carried out during dry dock and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Conduct final inspections and confirm completion of electrical works before vessel re commissioning.
- Ensure timely requisition of electrical spare parts and materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and maintenance records.
- Monitor and respond to all message box complaints related to marine electrical issues.
- Always use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar capacity (sea going experience will be highly preferred).
- Market knowledge of engine products.
- Able to write detailed reports.
- Computer literate.
- Good command of English language skills.
- Arabic language knowledge will be an added advantage.
- With Qatar driving license.
