Manufacturing Engineer II (CNC Programming)

Company Context

Job Purpose

Main Accountabilities

• Create setup sheets, CNC programs in NX CAM, and routings.
• Verify programs in Vericut and create cutting tools in TDM.
• Develop and establish production processes to improve performance standards.
• Supervise less experienced engineering personnel by checking calculations and engineering solutions.
• Review drawings, part reports, and procedures for safe and efficient production.
• Provide quality notification disposition where required.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline is preferred, or an equivalent qualification may be considered.
• More than 6 years of relevant experience in CNC programming is required.

Interpersonal Skills

• Good command of English.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Service or customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and project culture.

Technical Skills

• Strong basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and cutting tools, including their parameters and applications.
• Proficiency with NX or another CAM tool and PLM systems such as TCE.
• Good knowledge of Vericut simulation, machine building, Renishaw probe cycles, and their use in CNC programs.
• Good knowledge of turn-mill and WFL machines.
• Basic understanding of postprocessors and lean manufacturing principles.
• Additional SAP knowledge is helpful.
