Overview
- The FSRA is responsible for regulation of Financial Services activities in ADGM.
- The Manager – Market Infrastructure role is within the Markets Department, responsible for authorisation and supervision of trading, clearing, settlement and listing venues.
Operational Responsibilities
- Responsible for AML related licensing and supervision aspects of Markets Firms, particularly Recognised Bodies/Custodians.
- Build and manage internal FSRA AML related regulatory relationships and wider market stakeholders.
- Support Markets Management and FCCPU in understanding, mitigating and managing AML related risks across Markets Firms.
- Monitor and manage specific Virtual Asset AML related operational and technology risks (KYC, KYB, COBS 17.5(c), Travel Rule).
- Provide SME Support to Senior Managers / Director MI on AML related supervisory engagements.
- Keep up to date to advise senior management on changes to regional and international regulations impacting AML supervisory functions.
- Liaise with other internal stakeholders within FSRA and ADGM as appropriate.
Organisational Responsibilities
- Assist in development and administration of rules, policies and procedures for AML regulation of Markets Firms.
- Continuously improve Markets practices to ensure ADGM takes a leading role in market infrastructure developments.
- Assist, develop and manage thematic reviews with SME input on AML matters.
