About the Role
Leads internal audit strategy and execution in alignment with organizational objectives.
Oversees audits across operational, financial, compliance, and technology domains while ensuring adherence to IIA standards.
Supports enterprise risk insight, management reporting, stakeholder engagement, governance, integrity, and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual audit plan based on risk profiles and strategic priorities.
- Lead the internal audit team and oversee operational, financial, compliance, and special audits.
- Ensure audit engagements meet quality, timeliness, internal, and IIA standards.
- Collaborate with department heads, executive management, and external auditors to resolve audit findings.
- Maintain audit policies and promote audit technologies and continuous auditing methods.
- Prepare and present audit reports and analyses to the Audit Committee, senior leadership, and ADAA.
- Coach and mentor the audit team and advocate for internal controls, ethics, and risk management.
Candidate Profile
- 8 to 10 years of internal audit experience, including 3 to 5 years in supervisory or management roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is mandatory.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- CISA, CFE, or CRMA credentials are highly valued.
- Expert knowledge of auditing standards, risk-based thinking, and digital audit tools is expected.
- Data analytics, cybersecurity, or data privacy expertise is advantageous.
- Communication skills, independent judgment, ethical integrity, leadership, strategic problem-solving, and business acumen are critical.
