Job Purpose

Emirates Engineering operates an aircraft maintenance facility in Dubai supporting Emirates and third-party airline operations.

The Maintenance Technician supports technicians with scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repairs on equipment, vehicles, and plant.

Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Plan daily tasks, maintain workshop housekeeping, care for tools, and record completed work in log books and work orders.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment, vehicle, and plant faults to minimize downtime and inform senior technicians about required parts and tools.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and daily inspections according to manufacturer, ISO, safety, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of Ground Power Units and Preconditioned Air units.
  • Operate access equipment and forklifts and maintain the neutralization plant.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10 years of schooling or equivalent and a two-year trade certificate in an engineering discipline.
  • Two years of maintenance experience in facilities, automotive, or electrical mechanics within a large maintenance organization.
  • Experience maintaining ground support equipment and knowledge of relevant mechanical, electrical, electronic, automotive, air-conditioning, or refrigeration systems.
  • English verbal and written communication ability is required.
  • A UAE or home-country driving license and valid equipment operating license are required where applicable.
  • Understanding of MOE, EASA, or GCAA regulations and ULD workshop safety standards is required for the ULD section.

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Specialized training in hydraulics, lifting equipment, conveyor systems, or material-handling equipment is advantageous.
  • Experience with PLCs, AC-DC motor controls, traction batteries, and chargers is advantageous.

Safety-Sensitive Work Conditions

  • The role includes working at height, heavy lifting, mobile equipment areas, confined spaces, contaminated or dangerous materials, noisy environments, and areas with sharp or moving or falling objects.
  • Airport driving permits are required for applicable duties.
