Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose

Operational Responsibilities

• Monitor weekly and monthly generator schedules, including the operational status of generators and automatic transfer switches.
• Follow up on testing of water treatment, sewage, conveyor, elevator, escalator, firefighting, gas detection, and other mechanical systems.
• Respond to power outages, main water supply interruptions, and maintenance-related disruptions affecting air transport operations.
• Ensure specialized tools and testing equipment are available for electrical and electronic systems.
• Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with procedures, guidelines, and approved standards.
• Supervise airport facility maintenance and develop cleaning schedules and detailed cleaning plans.
• Maintain inventories of cleaning supplies, chemicals, equipment, consumables, and spare parts.
• Inspect maintenance warehouses and monitor storage and quality of critical recoverable spare parts.
• Determine work permit needs, collect contractor documentation, and submit permit requests.
• Coordinate planned and emergency work with airport staff, security, air traffic control, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor HVAC, lighting, and other energy-consuming equipment through the Building Management System.
• Develop spatial data, floor plans, layouts, and site maps using Geographic Information Systems, and support space modifications.

Employee Development and Administration

• Set objectives for direct reports, identify training needs, evaluate training outcomes, and guide employees in completing assigned tasks.
• Train and develop maintenance employees and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Ensure implementation of relevant policies and procedures and assist with reports for the Airport Manager.
• Hold regular meetings with direct reports to monitor progress, discuss challenges, and act on suggestions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in the relevant field.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
