Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as an official point of contact for international clean energy initiatives.
- Participate in international clean energy events and lead work related to hydrocarbon technologies.
- Define evaluation and monitoring criteria for international clean energy, sustainability, and climate change initiatives.
- Advise on the impact of Saudi policies and greenhouse gas reduction measures on sector growth and development.
- Advance research and development in technologies that reduce or eliminate carbon dioxide emissions from conventional fuels.
- Promote carbon dioxide conversion technologies, economically beneficial applications, and pilot projects.
- Encourage research into direct air capture, ship-based carbon capture, synthetic fuels, and hydrogen technologies.
- Coordinate with Kingdom research and development centers and prepare for international conferences and meetings.
- Promote the Circular Carbon Economy concept and advise on bilateral climate and carbon management agreements.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures and perform other assigned tasks.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Change, or a related field is required.
- A master’s degree in a related energy, environmental, sustainability, or climate change field is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in the same field of work is required.
