Role Overview

The WMS Manager leads implementation, administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Warehouse Management System.

The role connects warehouse operations and technology platforms to improve inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, visibility, and customer service.

The position is the key liaison between operational teams and IT stakeholders.

WMS Administration

  • Manage WMS configuration, functionality, system performance, data integrity, system availability, and operational reliability.
  • Coordinate upgrades, testing, enhancements, KPI monitoring, and resolution of system-related issues.

Implementation and Optimization

  • Lead WMS implementation projects and module deployments.
  • Identify automation opportunities, optimize warehouse workflows, and support digital transformation and process improvement.

Warehouse Integration

  • Manage system processes for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, inventory movements, and stock control.
  • Manage batch, lot, serial-number, expiry-date, and product-traceability processes.
  • Support integration between WMS, ERP, transportation, and other operational systems.

User Support and Training

  • Act as the primary point of contact for WMS users and support warehouse teams and supervisors.
  • Develop training materials and SOPs, deliver user training, and promote adherence to best practices.

Reporting and Governance

  • Ensure inventory and transaction accuracy and develop operational dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze warehouse performance and inventory trends and support internal and external audits.
  • Define standardized warehouse processes and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Support FIFO and FEFO practices and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and WMS environments.
  • Experience with WMS implementation, configuration, and optimization projects.
  • Experience in logistics, distribution, warehousing, or cold chain operations is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of inbound and outbound warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP system interfaces.
  • Knowledge of RF scanners, barcode technology, and API or EDI integrations.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and data analytics, with Power BI preferred.

Competencies and Languages

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, coaching, and training abilities.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to bridge operational and technical teams and maintain attention to data accuracy.
