About the Role
Air Arabia seeks a Maintenance Planning Engineer to plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance activities for the airline fleet. You will develop short and long-term maintenance plans, create work packages, and ensure airworthiness compliance.

Responsibilities
- Develop long term/short term maintenance plans based on Approved Maintenance Program
- Execute maintenance activities forecasting in company MIS (AMOS) in a timely and cost effective manner
- Create effective work packages, issuance of preloads, Gantt charts for execution of checks
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop maintenance capacity plan
- Manage scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities considering parameters and business needs
- Develop monthly/quarterly/half yearly and yearly man hour forecast vs utilization reports
- Provide feedback to CAMO engineering services to enhance maintenance documents
- Coordinate with Engineering Procurement team to ensure tools and parts availability
- Schedule compliance of airworthiness directives and non mandatory service bulletins
- Plan and schedule all defects in coordination with MCC department
Requirements
- University Degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical/Aerospace/Industrial or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in the Aviation industry, 4 of which as 'Planning Engineer' or similar
- Experience with Airbus A320 aircraft preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft suite and MRO systems
- Fluent in English

Job Purpose
- Plan, schedule, manage, and coordinate all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to ensure continuous airworthiness of the airline fleet and third party aircraft.
- Develop both short and long term maintenance plans in coordination with line manager and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Support delivery of highest levels of safety, cost efficiency, and dispatch reliability.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Develops long term/short term maintenance plans for assigned fleet maintenance based on Approved Maintenance Program.
- Execute maintenance activities forecasting in company MIS (AMOS) in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Create effective work packages, issuance of preloads, Gantt charts and any other support required for execution of checks.
- Create any scheduled and unscheduled line & base maintenance /workshops/third party work packages.
- Coordinate with necessary Stakeholders to develop maintenance capacity plan.
- Manage scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities taking into consideration agreed parameters, cost and business needs.
- Develop monthly/quarterly/half yearly and yearly man hour forecast vs man hours utilized reports.
- Provide feedback to CAMO engineering services to enhance, improve or increase efficiency of maintenance documents.
- Coordinate with Engineering Procurement team to ensure all tools, spare parts and components prior to scheduling.
- Report back maintenance events within approved time frame.
- Provide complete check analysis post completion of major checks.
- Monitor tasks completion versus Engineers checks requests.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- University Degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical/Aerospace/Industrial or equivalent.
- Project Management certificate or proven corresponding working experience.
- Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting and Quality Assurance certificates and trainings are an added value.
- Capable of using technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft suite and MRO systems.
- Excellent command over both written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English Language.
Work Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in the Aviation industry, 4 of which as 'Planning Engineer' or in a similar capacity.
- Experience with Airbus A320 aircraft is preferred.
- Experienced in aircraft planning systems, procedures and documents such as (MPD, MRB, AMP) and regulations such as CAMO.
- Clearly understanding of applicable rules and regulations mentioned in CAR M, CAR 145, PART 21 and applicable company manuals.
- Familiar with aircraft systems and components.
- Familiar with rules and regulations of the relevant civil aviation authority.
- Can demonstrate working knowledge of EASA part 145, part 21 and sub part 'M' requirements.
- Experienced in working with a team of professionals in a frequently changing environment.
- Very good time management skills.
- Necessary exposure on Airline Flight Operations and Standard regulations.
- Understanding of related Quality Assurance/Safety/Audit functional practices.
- High accuracy and attention to both results and details.
