The Machine Learning Engineer, Applied AI role focuses on turning models into production decision systems used by institutions.
The role covers problems including blueprint checking, policy analysis, and clinical-path prediction.
Systems must achieve institutional-grade accuracy and operate in complex, multimodal, real-world environments.
Problems and responsibilities
- Build composite AI systems that combine vision transformers, segmentation models, vision-language reasoning, and rule engines.
- Develop document-understanding systems for blueprints, site plans, policy stacks, contracts, and clinical records.
- Design data, evaluation, and training loops for agents learning from verified production work.
- Create rigorous evaluation suites and failure-mode taxonomies for institutional trust and sign-off.
