Role Overview

Coordinate marine and land-based logistics for dredging and reclamation projects.

Oversee vessel, support-craft, heavy-machinery, unloading, transportation, and logistics activities.

Marine Operations Coordination

  • Oversee the movement and positioning of dredging vessels and support craft within designated dredging and reclamation zones.
  • Liaise with RLIC port authorities, marine traffic control, and terminal operations regarding vessel movements.
  • Coordinate marine access, navigation permits, and operational clearances.

Permits and Compliance

  • Support contractors in securing permits, customs clearances, and import/export approvals.
  • Ensure logistics activities comply with local regulations, environmental requirements, and project procedures.
  • Verify contractor compliance with contractual logistics obligations.
  • Ensure vessel and heavy-machinery movements comply with safety standards and environmental permits.

Operational Follow-up

  • Monitor the contractor team's daily logistics flow across marine traffic and land-based transport.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and resolve logistics interface issues affecting construction or dredging operations.
  • Review logistics progress reports and identify potential schedule impacts.

Systems and Reporting

  • Ensure timely development and effective implementation of unloading, transportation, and logistics systems, procedures, and detailed schedules.
  • Closely monitor and audit the contractor's relevant implementation plan.
  • Coordinate with port authorities in Doha and RLC regarding regulations, procedures, and work schedules.

Role Requirements

  • Ability to coordinate marine logistics for dredging and reclamation projects.
  • Knowledge of vessel movements, permits, customs processes, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to monitor contractor logistics systems, procedures, schedules, and implementation plans.
  • Ability to liaise with port authorities and resolve logistics interface issues.
