About the Role
We are seeking a Local Purchase Officer to manage procurement of locally sourced materials and services for a leading engineering and industrial automation company. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
- Source and procure locally available raw materials, production consumables, spare parts, maintenance items, tools, equipment, packaging materials, and indirect purchases
- Review purchase requisitions and verify specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements before processing procurement activities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
- Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and conduct commercial evaluations based on quality, price, delivery, and service
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements to achieve cost savings
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with approved procurement policies and authorization levels
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance departments to ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled
- Resolve supplier delivery issues, shortages, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain approved supplier records
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by coordinating with planning and warehouse teams to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- 3 5 years of experience in local procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience in packaging, plastics, FMCG, engineering, industrial automation, manufacturing, or related industries
- Proven experience purchasing production materials, engineering items, maintenance spare parts, and industrial consumables
- Strong knowledge of local Saudi supplier networks and procurement practices
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for procurement analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier evaluation, and contract management
- Understanding of inventory management and material planning concepts
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- High level of accountability and attention to detail

Job Summary
- The purpose of this position is to ensure the timely and cost effective procurement of locally sourced materials, spare parts, production consumables, engineering items, and services required to support manufacturing and business operations.
- The Local Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing qualified suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, issuing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining strong vendor relationships while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in local procurement within a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging, plastics, industrial automation, engineering, or FMCG industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure locally available raw materials, production consumables, spare parts, maintenance items, tools, equipment, packaging materials, and indirect purchases.

Requirements

Pay
- SAR 3,000.00 SAR 5,000.00 per month
