Purpose of the Position
The Lifting Specialist supports the Operations Department by managing offshore lifting and rigging activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The role evaluates lifting configurations, crane systems, rigging arrangements, lifting objects, hydrodynamic effects, and offshore vessel motions.
The specialist serves as the dedicated offshore lifting and rigging focal point at site for heavy and critical lifting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and control heavy and critical lifts at site.
- Prepare, review, and approve lifting plans, rigging arrangements, lift studies, calculations, and procedures.
- Develop lift plans for heavy vessel lifts, vessel-to-vessel transfers, subsea lowering and recovery, and critical subsea asset lifts.
- Validate DAF, crane utilization, rigging capacity, center of gravity, lift radius, and load distribution calculations.
