Position Overview
The Structural Superintendent reports to the Fabrication Manager and works on the COMP3 project within the Fabrication Department.
The role is responsible for structural erection, integration, mechanical completion and related fabrication execution activities.
Core Mission
- Organize, coordinate and control erection works performed by subcontractors or directly hired teams.
- Manage integration of subassemblies and finished products through mechanical completion, load-out and installation activities as applicable.
Execution and Coordination
- Coordinate production, engineering, methods, quality, scaffolding, lifting and handling interfaces.
- Supervise vendors, specialists, subcontractors and dependent teams, including resource planning and workflow coordination.
- Support resolution of technical problems and contribute improvement suggestions on methods, tools and material management.
Quality, Safety and Completion
- Promote safe work practices and environmental protection while ensuring project quality and contractual requirements.
- Ensure welding and non-destructive controls are completed before painting.
- Coordinate disciplines through mechanical completion and release completed systems to commissioning.
Planning and Controls
- Set and monitor schedules, production parameters, productivity, man-hours, equipment use and material utilization.
- Report progress and deviations, propose solutions, maintain documentation and track quantities and preliminary cost estimates.
- Ensure load-out operations and agreed project yields and durations are achieved.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- At least five years of experience in EPC fabrication is required.
- Proficiency in English is required.
Work Arrangement
- The position is permanent and project-based.
- The role is site-based in Qatar and follows a 60-hour work week over six days.
