About the Role

Responsibilities
- Remain at the pool area at all times during duty hours and look after the safety of pool users
- Maintain swimming pool water quality, ensuring no side effects to pool users
- Check daily performance of pumps, drains, filters and heating system
- Test pool water daily for pH and chlorine levels
- Maintain cleanliness of swimming pool, children’s splash pool and jacuzzi
- Arrange sun loungers, mattresses, chairs, tables and umbrellas at pool side daily
- Report any missing or damaged items to Club Reception and Club Supervisor
Requirements
- Valid lifeguard certification issued by a recognized government authority
- Up to date first aid and CPR certifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
- Excellent swimming and rescue skills
- Basic understanding of pool water testing, filtration systems, and chemical handling
- Good health and physical condition
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Job Description

- Coordinate with maintenance department regarding pool equipment.
- Test pool water daily for pH and chlorine levels.
- Check daily pool lights and tiles.
- Maintain cleanliness of swimming pool, children’s splash pool and jacuzzi.
- Attend and maintain cleanliness of fountain.
- Arrange sun loungers, mattresses, chairs, tables and umbrellas at pool side.
- Maintain general condition of pool assets and report issues.
Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification from recognized government authority.
- Up to date first aid and CPR certifications.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as lifeguard or pool attendant, preferably in hotel/resort.
- Excellent swimming and rescue skills.
- Basic understanding of pool water testing, filtration systems, and chemical handling.
- Good health and physical condition.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive 'Yes I Can!' attitude.
- Must adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
