Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and support on all dispute related activities for the bank
- Manage the entire lifecycle of litigation files, including cases filed by or against the bank
- Draft legal documents, complaints, and manage submissions to authorities such as Police and Public Prosecution
- Conduct legal research to develop effective solutions and strategies for complex legal issues
- Manage relationships with and oversee performance of external counsel
- Provide oral and written legal advice to all branches, units, and departments within Emirates Islamic
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and/or post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice
- Minimum 2 4 years of experience within a legal department
- At least 2 years specifically in a litigation focused role
- Proven experience in legal management and strong knowledge of banking and financial services industry
- Ability to distill and communicate complex legal advice to non legal stakeholders
- Strong technical skills in litigation management and excellent oral and written communication

Organization Unit Purpose
- Emirates Islamic Legal Department is mandated to manage legal risk in line with the Bank's defined risk appetite.
- We provide comprehensive legal advice and strategic support to protect the Bank's interests and ensure operational excellence across all business units.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing expert legal advice and support on all dispute related activities for the bank, including retail, commercial, corporate, and regulatory affairs.
- Managing the entire lifecycle of litigation files, including cases filed by or against the bank, from review and preparation to following up with business units and external lawyers.
- Drafting legal documents, complaints, and managing submissions to authorities such as the Police and Public Prosecution.
- Conducting legal research to develop effective solutions and strategies for complex legal issues.
- Managing relationships with and overseeing the performance of external counsel to ensure effective service delivery and cost efficiency.
- Providing oral and written legal advice to all branches, units, and departments within Emirates Islamic.
Experience & Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and/or a post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
- A minimum of 2 4 years of experience within a legal department, with at least 2 years specifically in a litigation focused role.
- Proven experience in legal management and a strong knowledge of the banking and financial services industry.
- The ability to distill and communicate complex legal advice in a clear and understandable manner to non legal stakeholders.
- Strong technical skills in litigation management, coupled with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
