- Run internal fact finding investigations
- Handle external dispute resolution complaints in accordance with local laws and regulations
- Represent Revolut before external dispute resolution forums
- Work on early stage or less complex litigation, such as pre action letters, responses to claims, and case reviews
- Assist Legal Counsels within EEA branches with ad hoc work and advice
- Identify, analyse, resolve issues, and help implement improvements
- Analyse case outcomes to identify weak points and remediate them
- Actively contribute to a culture where fair treatment of customers is a priority
- Cooperate closely with other departments during case investigations
Requirements
- Bachelor's and master's degree in law (or equivalent in Hungary)
- Qualified lawyer or registered with the Hungarian Bar Association
- 2+ years of legal experience as a private practice lawyer dealing with financial services
- Fluency in English with exceptional communication skills
- Analytical mindset and strategic thinking skills

- We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to handle incoming customer complaints on external dispute resolution platforms and during early stages of litigation. You’ll work on pre action letters and responses to claims, and provide day to day legal advice as a business partner to key stakeholders.

What you'll be doing
- Running internal fact finding investigations
- Handling external dispute resolution complaints in accordance with local laws and regulations
- Representing Revolut before external dispute resolution forums
- Working on early stage or less complex litigation, such as pre action letters, responses to claims, and case reviews
- Assisting Legal Counsels within our EEA branches with ad hoc work and advice
- Identifying, analysing, resolving issues, and helping to implement improvements that make an impact
- Analysing case outcomes to identify weak points and remediate them
- Actively contributing to a culture where the fair treatment of customers is a priority
- Seeking to go above and beyond the role by taking real ownership of problems, policies, or procedures from end to end
- Cooperating closely with other departments during case investigations
What you'll need
- A bachelor’s and master's degree in law (or equivalent in Hungary)
- To be a qualified lawyer or registered with the Hungarian Bar Association
- 2+ years of legal experience as a private practice lawyer dealing with financial services
- Fluency in English with exceptional communication skills
- An analytical mindset to investigate and get to the root of a problem
- To be resourceful and know where and how to obtain relevant information
- Strategic thinking skills to best utilise means of redress (e.g., refunds, negotiations)
- Impressive problem solving skills with the ability to use analysis and resources to efficiently resolve a complex case
- The ability to excel both independently and in a team environment
- A track record of working in fast paced environments and making sound judgements under tight deadlines
Nice to have
- A background in fintech
- Familiarity with all stages of litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and regulatory matters
- Experience in disputes resolution within a top law firm
- In house experience
