Scope of Job

  • Assume responsibility for setting the L&D direction for HME to reach 5 days of learning for all employees each year.
  • Lead the Retail Training Manager to focus on retail development and proactively focus on head office and management development.
  • Collaborate with HRBP community to identify and support development of key talent.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the regional L&D strategy aligned with HR Director, business goals, and Hermès group learning vision.
  • Collaborate with retail training manager to agree annual retail learning plan.
  • Drive innovation in learning through digital tools including My Click H, My Campus, and The Hub.
  • Monitor industry trends to highlight best practices.
  • Collaborate with global and regional HR teams to align talent initiatives.
  • Take ownership of all head office employee learning and development.
  • Act as key partner to HRBPs and management to identify and develop key talent.
  • Design and deliver management development programmes, UAE National development paths, and high potential initiatives.
  • Oversee Retail Training Manager for consistent learning delivery across stores.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and improve content and delivery.
  • Ensure accurate administration for annual HR reporting.
  • Manage L&D performance against key metrics and department budget.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in HR management with focus on talent development, training, or L&D, preferably in retail or similar client oriented industry.
  • Proven experience building and managing talent programmes.
  • Strong understanding of learning frameworks and employee development.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
