Scope of Job

  • The cashier plays a pivotal role in delivering a seamless experience. They are responsible for handling all point of sale transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining Hermès’ exceptional standards of client experience.
  • Additionally, the cashier ensures operational accuracy, supports the sales team, and contributes to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers including answering phones and directing customer inquiries to appropriate party.
  • Answers routine billing questions/issues from customers
  • Assists in the opening and closing of the store which includes and but not limited to cash handling and deposits.
  • Completes, processes, and maintains applicable paperwork and records.
  • Manage the daily till (Cash/Deposit) and till procedures.
  • Handle goods and deliver them to the clients.
  • Optimize greeting (Greetings/Department at the end of the sales transaction)
  • Effectively train and direct the activities of cashier assigned to the front end and set the standard for customer service.
  • Accurately perform opening and or/ closing functions and maintain cash office files and reports.
  • Provide on the job training to the junior cashiers.
  • Accepts cash, cheques, wire transfers or credit cards for payment and completes cheque and credit card transactions according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure register/counter areas are neat and stocked with necessary supplies.

  • Effective collaboration with the sales team, enhancing overall operational success

Experience

  • Prior experience in a cashier or similar role, preferably in luxury retail
  • Strong numerical and data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism
