Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Purpose

Role Responsibilities

• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust end-to-end tests covering business processes.
• Coordinate testing of cross-dependencies with other release train teams.
• Configure test tools to support metrics for programme and enterprise dashboards.
• Guide software engineers in maintaining automated functional tests through continuous integration.
• Maintain automation frameworks and test harnesses for robust end-to-end tests.
• Ensure quality gate requirements are understood and met.
• Support major delivery initiatives across multiple domains and environments.
• Support team development, training, and understanding of technologies and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience with complex, scalable software solutions in digital, data, or enterprise domains.
• Experience leading or coordinating quality engineering across large-scale programmes, products, teams, integrations, and workstreams.
• Experience coordinating distributed testing activities across concurrent delivery streams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience defining quality strategies, governance frameworks, testing standards, and programme-level controls.
• Background in test planning, release assurance, defect governance, RAID management, and executive quality reporting.
• Experience with quality gates, release-readiness assessments, go/no-go recommendations, dashboards, and release reporting.
• Understanding of SIT, integration, end-to-end, business process testing, UAT support, data migration, regression, APIs, microservices, and CI/CD quality controls.
